Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain data pipelines and applications within the Enterprise Data Lake and Databricks ecosystem.
- Design and support analytical and operational integrations for labor relations and workforce management systems covering wages, shifts, and time tracking.
- Build and maintain APIs, ingestion routines, and connections to enterprise relational databases.
- Collaborate daily with international teams and stakeholders in English within a global team.
- Promote data engineering and software development best practices across the team.
- Ensure delivery quality through automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- A degree in a technology-related area such as Computer Science or Systems Analysis.
- Advanced English skills in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Strong experience as a Software Engineer and with EDL/Databricks.
- Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Node, React, or a similar programming technology.
- Previous cloud experience, preferably with AWS.
- Strong database experience, including SQL syntax and one or more of SQL Server, Oracle DB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a cross-functional team.
- Experience working on Agile teams.
- Experience with data lakes, DevOps, and/or CI/CD pipelines is a differentiator.
- Experience integrating systems, designing and coding APIs, using modern JavaScript libraries, automation, data analytics, automated tests, complex pipelines, and programming best practices is a differentiator.
