Responsibilities
- Design, code, debug, test, and troubleshoot software throughout the application development process.
- Analyze existing information systems and applications to identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
- Develop application specifications, conversion and migration designs, documentation, and custom integration solutions.
- Perform requirements-based verification and validation testing to ensure software meets requirements.
- Interact with customers and team members across software development phases.
- Support application maintenance and follow established development life cycles, computing standards, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program.
- At least 2 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance and any required DOE designations.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time and maintain regular, reliable attendance.
- Preferred qualifications include electrical engineering knowledge or coursework, automated software testing experience, Six Sigma familiarity, and Six Sigma certification.
