Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly, and efficient backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create seamless user experiences.
- Advocate for coding best practices through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Analyze and optimize application performance by addressing bottlenecks and other issues.
- Work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams while prioritizing work and contributing to team goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 4 years of software development engineering experience.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles, including MVC.
- Hands-on experience working in scalable AWS environments.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
- Experience designing scalable microservices.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithm design, complexity analysis, and computer science fundamentals.
- At least 2 years of coding experience in a class-abstraction-focused language such as Java; Python experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams, achieve stretch goals, work in fast-paced innovative environments, and handle ambiguous problems abstractly.
