Base Salary
$150k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve distributed systems in Go to handle billions of daily events and messages.
- Lead architectural decisions around performance, reliability, and real-time event processing.
- Improve service-to-service communication through better APIs and messaging systems.
- Work across teams to identify and resolve system bottlenecks.
- Tackle high-throughput challenges across data pipelines and scheduling infrastructure.
- Debug production systems at scale and resolve issues quickly.
- Share knowledge through mentorship and public progress updates.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance decision-making and speed up prototyping.
Requirements
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in building scalable, distributed systems in Go or similar languages.
- Deep experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Comfort working in cloud-native environments like AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with APIs, observability, and operating production systems.
- A bias for action and pride in owning technical decisions.
