Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support new or revised application systems and programs.
- Manage and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
- Conduct feasibility studies, prepare time and cost estimates, participate in technology planning and risk assessments, and align solutions with business requirements.
- Design and build scalable, robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Provide operational and technical support to business users and resolve complex application and system issues.
- Integrate security measures, support post-implementation reviews, and promote system integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with clients, business users, and cross-functional technology teams to recommend programming solutions.
- Follow and help define engineering standards, development procedures, and operating best practices.
- Mentor junior and new team members and serve as a subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and engineers.
- Assess and escalate control and compliance risks while safeguarding the firm, its clients, and its assets.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on software development experience with a record of designing and building scalable backend systems.
- Mandatory expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Practical experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular is highly preferred.
- In-depth SQL Server knowledge, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development tooling.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, communicate technical concepts clearly, exercise independent judgment, and operate with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university degree/experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
