
Senior Observability Automation Engineer

Responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous business needs into architected, detectable, and automatable systems from prototype through production.
- Extend the company's cloud-hosted agentic AI platform, including locally self-hosted models, for observability and automated issue detection.
- Design enterprise-scale, 24/7, cross-region-resilient observability tooling and integrate telemetry across environments.
- Develop resilient data collection and analytics pipelines and build self-service monitoring frameworks.
- Modernize legacy applications and processes into secure, controlled, self-service tooling with appropriate guardrails.
- Integrate observability tooling with CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, development, support, security, and platform teams.
- Lead performance tuning, incident resolution, production support, and occasional on-call operations for observability systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with at least 8 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent related work experience.
- Expertise in software development and system integration for observability platforms.
- Advanced proficiency with monitoring frameworks and analytics tools.
- Proficiency in C# or Go, with C# preferred.
- Ability to consume and develop RESTful API web services.
- Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps toolchains, infrastructure as code, and event-driven automation.
- Experience designing observability systems in high-growth environments and leading complex cross-team initiatives.
- Experience with Linux and Windows scripting, including Bash, Perl, Python, and PowerShell.
- Experience with graphing and analytics tools such as Grafana and Splunk.
- Fluent written and oral communication in English and authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
