Base Salary
$138k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead system verification for robotic surgical systems, including top-level test strategy, test protocol design, execution, and completion.
- Design and execute functional software verification scripts and protocols for complex multidisciplinary robotic systems.
- Generate test reports with complete requirements traceability.
- Manage defects from logging through root-cause analysis, impact assessment, and resolution.
- Contribute the system-test perspective to requirements discussions and design decisions.
- Assess test impact during design-change reviews and lead regression analysis.
- Analyze test data, identify non-conformance trends, and present findings with design-improvement recommendations.
- Develop deep technical and user-level system understanding to drive robust test coverage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of experience testing complex electro-mechanical or robotic systems, or 6 years for master’s degree holders.
- Deep understanding of requirements and system software architecture and the ability to translate them into test methods.
- Experience planning and executing Verification and Validation activities for medical devices under quality and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of systems engineering, Software Quality Assurance, and software design principles.
- Hands-on experience with failure mode and risk analysis, including FMEA/FTA.
- Strong debugging skills across complex embedded software and electromechanical systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reports and clinical-stakeholder discussions.
- Preferred experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks for software or hardware systems.
- Preferred proficiency in Python, MATLAB, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages for test automation.
- Preferred experience with unit-test frameworks such as pytest, unittest, or Google Test.
- Preferred experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop testing environments and CI/CD integration.
