Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional, integration, system, resiliency, scale, performance, and solution validation.
- Validate distributed, multi-component software and large-scale customer networking deployments.
- Translate customer requirements into repeatable validation strategies and frameworks, and present technical findings and recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex failures using logs, metrics, traces, telemetry, observability platforms, and diagnostic frameworks.
- Perform root-cause investigations across software, infrastructure, automation, and environmental issues.
- Establish continuous validation practices and integrate automated testing into CI/CD environments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, subject matter expertise, and quality recommendations across engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong programming expertise in Python, Go, or C++, with proficiency in at least one language.
- Experience designing automation frameworks, quality engineering solutions, and large-scale automated testing integrations.
- Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX, networking, processes, memory management, and system internals.
- Extensive experience validating distributed and multi-component systems and configuring multi-vendor networking environments.
- Experience with service provider, enterprise, and cloud networking deployments and performance-testing platforms such as Ixia and Spirent.
- Expertise in system-level, end-to-end, longevity, resiliency, interoperability, scale, performance, fault-injection, and recovery testing.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems, influence engineering decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver measurable product impact.
- Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of industry experience and expertise in Layer 2, Layer 3, TCP/IP, Routing, MPLS, EVPN, data center technologies, network operating systems, cloud infrastructure, observability platforms, and distributed architectures.
- Working knowledge of JUNOS and certifications such as JNCIE, CCIE, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and a record of patents, publications, standards contributions, or architectural leadership are preferred.
