Base Salary
$170k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and launch machine learning models that automatically generate maps from raw data.
- Work with onboard teams to evolve Waymo’s mapping format for better automation.
- Apply statistical analysis to validate large-scale changes.
- Build backend infrastructure for storing and processing various forms of map data.
- Scale systems to support mapping the entire world.
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Experience with statistical analysis.
- Experience with large-scale data processing using frameworks like Google Data Flow or Apache Beam.
- Willingness to own problems end-to-end and work on various parts of the system.
- A passion for good software engineering.
