Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve services supporting high-volume payment systems.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code and contribute to new and existing functionality.
- Support the reliability, performance, and security of the payments platform.
- Investigate technical issues and help resolve production problems.
- Use data, product context, and technical judgment to make engineering decisions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, SRE, and engineers across global teams.
- Explore AI-enabled tools to improve engineering productivity, quality, and problem solving.
Requirements
- Around 2 years of software or application development experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, ideally with backend or full stack experience.
- Experience with APIs, web services, or REST-based architecture.
- Understanding of object-oriented design or similar programming principles.
- Some exposure to relational databases and an interest in scalable systems, cloud platforms, and reliability.
- Ability to learn new languages, frameworks, and tools quickly.
- Curiosity about AI adoption, LLMs, and modern engineering workflows.
- Comfort working in a cross-functional product engineering environment.
- Strong communication skills and fluent English.
- A product-minded approach and interest in how engineering decisions affect customers and the business.
- FinTech or payments experience is desirable but not required.
- Based in Valencia or willing to relocate to Valencia from another city in Spain.
