Responsibilities
- Drive the architectural design, implementation, and evolution of core features for creative applications.
- Prototype innovative concepts while establishing robust architectural foundations.
- Build high-performance applications and resolve bottlenecks involving UI responsiveness, memory management, power efficiency, and real-time processing.
- Develop features for complex media manipulation, rendering, and content-creation workflows.
- Own user experiences and collaborate cross-functionally with design, product, and partner engineering teams.
- Technically lead projects, mentor engineers, and drive initiatives from concept to delivery.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience building and shipping production software.
- Mastery of software architecture patterns, data structures, and algorithms, especially for high-performance systems.
- Deep proficiency in at least one of Swift, C++, Rust, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, or a similar language.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms and languages quickly.
- A history of shipping features with ownership of the user experience.
- Experience collaborating effectively with design, product, and partner engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Animation, AVFoundation, Core Image, and Metal, or equivalent graphics frameworks.
- Preferred experience integrating machine learning into shipping products, including on-device inference and model performance or memory trade-offs.
- Fluency with AI-assisted development tools and interest in helping teams use them effectively.
- Experience developing media manipulation, rendering, video editing, music production, graphic design, or advanced image-processing applications.
- Ability to technically lead projects, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional initiatives.
