Base Salary
$190k - $285k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and GitHub Actions.
- Own and administer GitLab and Perforce source control platforms, including branching and release management practices.
- Integrate requirements-management, collaboration, and issue-tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Develop and maintain Makefiles, CMake build systems, and automation scripts for compilation, packaging, and delivery.
- Implement configuration-management and infrastructure-automation frameworks including Ansible and Chef.
- Support static analysis, code quality, and code coverage processes.
- Define branching strategies, versioning schemes, and release workflows for multi-team development.
- Coach development teams on DevOps principles, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with firmware and platform teams using Zephyr, OpenBMC, and EDK2.
- Develop automation and tooling with Shell scripting and Python.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence organizational DevOps strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 6+ years of Software Engineering or related experience; or a master’s degree plus 5+ years; or a PhD plus 4+ years.
- At least 3 years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: 12+ years of Software, Firmware, or Systems Engineering experience, including 7+ years building virtual platforms, SystemC TLM models, or simulators.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or technical leader.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, source control, requirements and defect tracking, build systems, configuration management, infrastructure automation, static analysis, code coverage, branching, version control, and release workflows.
- Proficiency with C, Python, and Shell scripting, and working knowledge of Zephyr, OpenBMC, and EDK2.
- Experience with semiconductor or embedded systems, server architectures, and firmware development lifecycles is preferred.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and demonstrate communication, collaboration, and technical leadership.
