Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable applications, services, APIs, user experiences, and platform capabilities.
- Build secure REST APIs and distributed services using integration, messaging, and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Develop AI-enabled and agentic systems that help users understand information, make decisions, and manage work.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests.
- Contribute to observability, accessibility, security, performance, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, demonstrations, releases, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and validate generated code.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, data, quality engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor other engineers and promote consistent engineering practices and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong production software development experience with Java and Spring Boot or comparable backend technologies.
- Experience developing modern web applications with React and TypeScript or comparable frontend technologies.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed services.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including data modeling, query development, and performance optimization.
- Experience with cloud-native software development and deployment.
- Experience with automated testing, source-control workflows, code reviews, and modern software development practices.
- Understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, secure coding, and data protection.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, Confluent, asynchronous processing, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, AKS, Helm, JFrog, Harness, and GitHub Actions.
- Preferred experience with enterprise integrations, large-scale data, analytics, AI-enabled applications, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, and AI output evaluation.
