Responsibilities
- Partner with Audio Artists, Designers, and Engineers to create audio experiences and sports realism.
- Architect and implement scalable runtime audio systems, authoring tools, and content pipelines.
- Analyze requirements and design technical solutions for new audio features.
- Profile, debug, and optimize audio systems across multiple platforms for memory, CPU usage, and low-latency execution.
- Extend the Frostbite audio toolset to improve audio authoring workflows and developer efficiency.
- Own audio features through architectural design, implementation, optimization, and release.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software or game development experience, preferably with large multiplatform codebases.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented design, data structures, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging production-level software or game engine systems.
- Background in audio technology or real-time audio systems.
- Understanding of memory management, multithreading, and runtime optimization.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype, accelerate execution, and automate workflows, with the ability to review and validate generated code.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.

- British Columbia base-pay range is CAD 104,500–142,800 annually.
