Responsibilities
- Shape technical strategy and roadmaps in partnership with engineering and business leadership.
- Develop scalable, maintainable backend systems across JobGet’s products.
- Write clean, efficient, production-ready code and resolve complex architectural, performance, and stability issues.
- Lead architecture evaluations, design reviews, testing standards, incident response, and postmortem processes.
- Evaluate and integrate AI-powered tools to improve developer productivity and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, development, and QA teams to align priorities and improve automated test coverage.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design feedback, technical discussions, and engineering best practices.
- Drive projects end-to-end with significant autonomy and influence decisions across organizational boundaries.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience leading and executing complex, high-impact initiatives.
- Recent experience working on a small, agile startup team across the software development lifecycle.
- Primary experience with Go and comfort working in .NET and TypeScript codebases.
- Experience with event-driven architecture in microservices ecosystems using tools such as Apache Kafka.
- Experience creating database schemas that support business processes.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
- Strong experience with AWS platforms and their capabilities and limitations.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, build consensus, and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with multi-product architectures and environments shaped by acquisitions or rapid growth.
- Proven ability to make well-reasoned technical decisions, own outcomes, navigate ambiguity, and solve complex problems.
- Strong collaboration, communication, ownership, and mentoring skills.
