Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic domain guidance and specialized problem-solving support to cross-functional teams.
- Lead data quality, standardization, and knowledge-sharing efforts across teams.
- Collaborate with science and AI teams to optimize human-in-the-loop and model-in-the-loop data collection for LLM training.
- Translate training data needs into scalable software engineering solutions and develop demonstrations of high-quality data.
- Mentor junior engineers and peers while promoting coding standards, reliability, security, privacy, and customer-focused technical decisions.
- Evaluate and provide detailed feedback on LLM outputs to improve model understanding and performance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

- The listed base salary range is $143,700-$194,400 annually in Boston, Massachusetts, and Bellevue, Washington.
