Base Salary

$197k - $243k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, optimize, and expand automated systems that analyze 3D geometry, avatar schema compliance, rigging structures, and asset metadata.
  • Develop quantitative programmatic metrics to evaluate user-generated content against marketplace quality and security standards.
  • Provide practical engineering expertise in geometric processing and collaborate with machine learning teams on asset-quality pipelines.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and artists across the avatar stack to implement marketplace policy requirements.
  • Optimize validation and data pipelines for large-scale 3D assets, including meshes and textures.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or relevant work experience.
  • Exceptional spatial reasoning and deep mastery of 3D mathematics, particularly linear algebra for game engines and 3D environments.
  • Strong experience manipulating and analyzing 3D data, including meshes, vertices, and topology.
  • Understanding of avatar schema compliance, rigging, skinning weights, and animation principles.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Luau, Python, or similar production languages.
  • Proven ability in system optimization, data pipelining, and complex software design.
  • Experience with runtime game engines is preferred.
  • Foundational knowledge of rendering pipelines is preferred.
