Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end architecture and technical delivery of enterprise AI solutions from discovery and proof of concept through production rollout and continuous improvement.
- Design secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-conscious solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, RAG, and agent frameworks.
- Architect document ingestion, embeddings, vector indexing, hybrid retrieval, reranking, grounding, citations, response generation, and agentic workflows.
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications and data sources through REST APIs, Oracle Database, Oracle APEX, and Microsoft ecosystem services.
- Establish reusable architectures, components, engineering standards, prompt patterns, evaluation methods, and deployment practices.
- Define controls for responsible AI, privacy, security, access management, content safety, auditability, and compliance.
- Create evaluation frameworks covering answer quality, retrieval relevance, groundedness, safety, latency, reliability, adoption, and cost.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance, architecture and code reviews, troubleshooting, and build-versus-buy recommendations.
- Mentor engineers and AI champions, facilitate technical workshops and architecture reviews, and communicate decisions and trade-offs to senior leadership.
- Support Agile planning, estimation, dependency management, release readiness, production support, and post-implementation reviews.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in software engineering, solution architecture, cloud, data, or AI.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, data science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ownership of multiple AI projects across architecture, implementation, integration, evaluation, production deployment, and operational support.
- Hands-on production experience with generative AI, RAG, enterprise search, or agent-based solutions.
- Strong experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, enterprise AI architecture, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval, grounding, and agent orchestration.
- Experience designing REST APIs and JSON services and working with Oracle Database, SQL, Oracle APEX, and Microsoft ecosystem services.
- Proficiency in at least one enterprise programming language, preferably Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, infrastructure and environment configuration, secrets management, production releases, observability, and cost monitoring.
- Knowledge of responsible AI, prompt engineering, evaluation, prompt injection, data leakage, hallucination, bias, content safety, identity and access management, encryption, and secure software development.
- Experience leading technical work across multidisciplinary teams, mentoring engineers, reviewing designs and code, and communicating with senior stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include Microsoft Azure AI or architecture certifications, enterprise AI center of excellence or governance experience, model gateways, fine-tuning, multimodal AI, knowledge graphs, MLOps, machine learning platforms, and Oracle APEX modernization.
- Knowledge of time-series analysis, forecasting, regression, data quality, feature selection, model validation, statistical reasoning, and distinctions among generative AI, traditional machine learning, deterministic rules, and hybrid approaches.
