Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and drive new telephony features on the Android platform.
- Debug and fix complex problems across Android UI, framework, middleware, and radio interface modules.
- Develop tools and test applications to streamline software testing.
- Contribute to the Android Open Source Project.
- Support pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up of future chipsets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and third-party OEMs on scalable, performant, and power-optimized features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 1+ year, or a PhD in a related field.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience with C++ and Java/Kotlin, data structures and algorithms, Android software development, embedded software development on mobile devices, Linux software development, and object-oriented design and development.
- Strong debugging skills and preferred experience in the telephony domain.
- Experience using Git for development and patch/tree management is preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, teamwork, independent problem-solving, and motivation skills.
