Responsibilities
- Ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and operational improvement of LogicMonitor’s SaaS platform.
- Design, migrate, deploy, and operate highly available infrastructure from on-premises datacenters to AWS.
- Develop automation and tooling for infrastructure provisioning, deployments, maintenance, and operational workflows.
- Drive release engineering and CI/CD initiatives using Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub, and Octopus Deploy.
- Partner with development and engineering teams on architecture, scalability, reliability, deployment practices, and operational readiness.
- Own large-scale, technically complex, cross-functional projects from design through production.
- Establish operational practices through documentation, runbooks, automation, and standardized processes.
- Drive platform readiness and security improvements for FedRAMP compliance.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of hands-on AWS experience with EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, MSK, and infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with datacenter-to-cloud migrations using re-host, re-platform, and re-architect strategies is preferred.
- Require strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, virtualization, and containerized environments.
- Require hands-on experience with Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub, and Octopus Deploy for CI/CD and release engineering.
- Require proficiency in Python, Shell/Bash, and/or Go for infrastructure and release automation.
- Require strong understanding of networking and hybrid-cloud connectivity, including VPN, Direct Connect, DNS, routing, and load balancing.
- Require experience designing and operating highly available, scalable, distributed, and service-oriented systems.
- Require strong Linux administration, production troubleshooting, and operational skills.
- Require understanding of security requirements across Linux, applications, containers, networking, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure; FedRAMP/NIST security controls familiarity is preferred.
