Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack platform features from initial concept through deployment.
- Plan and lead the design of scalable, secure, maintainable services and platform components.
- Explore and integrate machine learning and data science techniques for service matching, search, and operational efficiency.
- Deliver well-tested code through peer reviews and pair programming.
- Own features through production monitoring, issue diagnosis, and iterative improvement.
- Lead refactoring and modernization efforts to improve platform health.
- Serve as a technical leader and primary technical contact in cross-functional and cross-team initiatives.
- Mentor engineers and raise team-wide technical quality standards.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of progressive professional experience as a Software Engineer.
- Experience designing, planning, and leading large-scale, cross-team projects with significant business impact.
- Ability to serve as a primary reviewer, technical lead, and mentor for engineers at all levels.
- Expertise architecting, documenting, and implementing new services and complex system components.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep expertise in relational databases, including SQL and ORMs, plus practical experience with non-relational databases.
- Expertise in web performance, optimization, observability, and monitoring for mission-critical systems.
- Strong experience with Python or a similar backend language and ReactJS or a similar modern frontend framework.
- Extensive experience designing and operating services in microservices architectures or distributed systems.
- Direct experience with GCP, including managed services, security, and deployment using technologies such as Kubernetes and Cloud Functions.
