Responsibilities
- Own complex, high-leverage engineering work across multiple products, including core systems, shared frameworks, and critical infrastructure.
- Define and evolve architecture across products and teams while preventing future architectural dead ends.
- Spend the majority of the time writing, shipping, and maintaining production code.
- Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, engineering standards, and technical debt.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and direct feedback.
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of AI capabilities, including LLM pipelines and data infrastructure.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience solving difficult technical problems in production.
- Deep expertise across the stack, especially backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure, with comfort in frontend development when needed.
- Strong experience with Python, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience designing and evolving systems across multiple products and teams.
- Experience improving performance, reliability, and scalability at scale.
- Fluency with Docker, Azure, AWS, GCP, and Terraform.
- Experience building or integrating AI systems, LLMs, or large-scale data pipelines is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated technical ownership, pragmatic architectural decision-making, hands-on leadership, and mentoring ability.
- Willingness to work in person in Munich with a higher-intensity schedule than a traditional 9-to-5 job.
