Base Salary
$70k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for core IAM services and distributed cloud infrastructure.
- Build and operate end-to-end, highly available, scalable, and redundant services handling very high request volumes.
- Own feature design and drive tactical execution of features and projects.
- Develop service-oriented architectures and RESTful web services using Java and related technologies.
- Support and troubleshoot production databases, including SQL performance, locking, deadlocks, connectivity, scheduled jobs, availability, access, and recovery.
- Improve reliability, performance, operational excellence, monitoring, automation, and instrumentation.
- Lead security, documentation, UX, and product reviews through the launch lifecycle.
- Mentor other engineers and drive process and service improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant area, or equivalent experience.
- Seven years of software engineering or related experience.
- Hands-on experience building and operating end-to-end systems and services.
- Strong expertise in Java, J2EE, object-oriented programming, Core Java concurrency, and thread-safe code.
- Experience with service-oriented architectures, RESTful web services, JWT, OAuth2, Okta, and authentication and authorization frameworks.
- Strong Oracle PL/SQL experience with stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and bulk-processing routines.
- Production database support experience covering performance troubleshooting, locking and deadlocks, connectivity, connection pools, scheduled jobs, availability, access, and recovery.
- Experience with at least one scripting language for automation, proof-of-concept development, or command-line tools.
- Experience designing major features, launching them into production, and operating high-scale distributed services.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, multi-region architectures, Docker, AI/LLM technologies, compliance requirements, threat modeling, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise customers.

- Relocation allowance is available for the Nashville-based role; the position is not remote and candidates outside the Nashville area must relocate.
- US base salary range is $70,000 to $166,100 per annum, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.
