Base Salary
$184k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-level software components including kernel, synchronization, resource allocation, memory management, I/O, persistence, and security systems.
- Develop efficient drivers and services for constrained environments requiring low latency and high bandwidth.
- Lead hardware bring-up, peripheral drivers, communication, silicon integration, and power and performance optimization.
- Debug complex system-level issues spanning kernel through application layers and drive performance improvements.
- Integrate software from partner teams into a unified product codebase and lead continued development.
- Design, develop, and debug firmware for sensing, imaging, haptic, and audio devices.
- Develop and support connectivity features and wireless software stacks including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular, and UWB.
- Provide connectivity software support to QA, manufacturing, and other software teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of software development experience in industry settings, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- At least 3 years of embedded software development experience in industry settings.
- Experience working in large-scale C/C++ codebases.
- Experience defining and driving technical workstreams and providing technical leadership for software engineering teams.
- Preferred: embedded software experience for consumer electronics products.
- Preferred: Bluetooth Host Stack features, profiles, audio, and Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/Cellular coexistence experience.
- Preferred: Cellular connectivity stack experience on Android or similar widely available platforms.
- Preferred: Wi-Fi implementation or integration experience on Android, iOS, or Linux systems using the Wi-Fi Protected Access supplicant.
- Preferred: experience with Java, Python, or Android.
- Preferred: responsible and ethical AI practices, ongoing AI skill development, and use of AI tools to improve workflows.
