Base Salary
$94k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and troubleshoot software components for aerospace systems.
- Write and maintain comprehensive code documentation.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Support software integration with hardware systems.
- Participate in developing software requirements and specifications.
- Work on a computer for extended periods and perform coding and testing activities.
- Work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- A higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Familiarity working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required because the position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance.
- Preferred: experience with C#, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, WPF, and .NET.
- Preferred: experience with requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repositories, and automated build tools.
- Preferred: knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral methodologies.
- Preferred: experience with Linux/RHEL and Windows services.
- Preferred: understanding of data structures, tactical/moving map software integration, hardware integration, and protocol development.
