Responsibilities
- Execute functional, performance, interoperability, protocol, and security validation for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth/BLE, and IEEE 802.15.4 connectivity.
- Develop test plans, strategies, test cases, automated test frameworks, and Python test scripts.
- Validate Zephyr-based BSPs, peripheral drivers, wireless protocol stacks, network features, and security mechanisms.
- Perform white-box testing, code review participation, log and trace analysis, debugging, issue triage, and root-cause investigations.
- Reproduce customer-reported issues, verify software fixes, and support pre-silicon and post-silicon releases.
- Develop and maintain wireless and embedded test environments, testbeds, and lab infrastructure.
- Generate validation reports, quality metrics, and release-readiness assessments while collaborating with cross-functional software and platform teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing, validation, debugging, or system integration is required.
- 2+ years of hands-on software testing, validation, debugging, or system integration experience in embedded or wireless products is listed among the required qualifications.
- Knowledge of Zephyr RTOS, FreeRTOS, or similar RTOS, Linux development environments, embedded system architecture, and wireless connectivity technologies.
- Experience with at least one of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, or IEEE 802.15.4/Thread/Zigbee, plus networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, UDP, and TCP Socket APIs.
- Experience developing automation scripts using Python and analyzing logs, traces, protocol captures, and software execution behavior.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience, Wi-Fi 6 validation, WPA Supplicant, Bluetooth/BLE qualification, OpenThread or Zigbee certification testing, Zephyr Ztest, BSP and peripheral driver validation, automated regression testing, CI pipelines, Zephyr upstream workflows, and AI-assisted development/testing tools.
