Responsibilities
- Build and guide technical direction for web applications using Python, Java, and Rust backends and React, Vue, or server-rendered frontends.
- Own complex, ambiguous problems across frontend, API, and data layers.
- Develop internal Model Context Protocol servers and other AI and system interoperability tooling.
- Drive technical design, mentor engineers, and make decisions affecting applications used by thousands of employees.
- Improve reliability, developer experience, user-facing quality, monitoring, and engineering quality across teams.
Requirements
- Deep proficiency in Rust, Python, or Java for backend microservice development and strong API design skills.
- Frontend experience with TypeScript and a modern framework such as React or Vue, and/or server-rendered templates.
- Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational database design.
- Solid knowledge of containerization technologies and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and mentor other engineers.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building scalable Rust services and operating production web applications at scale is preferred.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol servers or other AI tooling and service integration is preferred.
- Understanding of RAG architectures and experience with observability, monitoring, and site reliability practices are preferred.
- Track record of driving engineering quality improvements across a team is preferred.
