Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Keet Desktop, a cross-platform peer-to-peer communications application.
- Implement UI/UX features using React and the Pear runtime.
- Optimize frontend performance, including rendering and memory management.
- Write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Test and debug complex frontend applications.
- Contribute to a decentralized communications product involving P2P connections and data replication.
Requirements
- Proven production-scale experience with React or Preact and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong competency with state management tools such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand.
- Ability to write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong frontend testing and debugging skills.
- Deep interest in or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
- Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team and strong communication skills.
- Preferred experience with desktop application runtimes such as Electron or Tauri.
- Preferred familiarity with video/audio APIs, WebRTC, media streams, and real-time communication.
- Preferred experience optimizing UI rendering and memory performance.
- Preferred experience building applications for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Contributions to open-source projects, particularly in P2P or decentralized technology, are a bonus.
