Responsibilities
- Increase Capital One Shopping’s reach through SEO, AEO, and GEO.
- Design and build high-performance, optimized front-end code and architectures.
- Partner with engineering, design, product, infrastructure, and backend teams to deliver quality features and improve release, observability, and reliability practices.
- Architect and maintain shared core components and libraries adopted by multiple teams.
- Define standards for cross-platform consistency, scalability, accessibility, and design systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in SEO, web performance, networking, or design systems.
- Define strategies for agentic AI tools and mentor senior engineers in AI-native workflows.
- Apply modern web technologies including PWAs, WebAssembly, mobile web, and Service Workers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, excluding internships.
- At least 6 years of experience developing applications with TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
- At least 3 years of experience architecting or leading federated front-end or design systems with cross-application adoption.
- Preferred qualifications include 7+ years with TypeScript and JavaScript and modern web frameworks, experience with Jest, Cypress, or Playwright, SEO expertise, shared design system leadership, release health and feature flag expertise, agentic AI coding tools, and micro-frontend experience.
