Senior Software Engineer
Clear StreetResponsibilities
- Build and design new solutions in collaboration with business partners.
- Develop client-side applications focused on usability and navigation.
- Develop server-side systems involving data storage, security, and performance.
- Build applications for securities finance, futures, execution management, risk, custody, and clearing systems.
- Support current business systems and run production environments.
- Troubleshoot system performance and take corrective action as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams in Sweden and New York.
Requirements
- At least four years of hands-on professional experience designing and developing mission-critical distributed systems with high performance, resiliency, and consistency requirements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
- Required experience with Java and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Experience troubleshooting system performance and taking corrective action.
- Experience supporting and running systems in a production environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and the technical requirements of financial systems.
- Preferred experience with Golang, Python, React, AWS, Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and Docker.
