Responsibilities
- Design, develop, customize, unit test, and support software enhancements for the Blue Yonder WMS product suite.
- Analyze customer requirements and business objectives, propose technical solutions, and prepare technical approach documents and estimates.
- Plan and manage software releases, rollouts, patches, schedules, and release notes.
- Provide high-level estimates and technical input for pre-sales activities.
- Collaborate with customers and project teams to review requirements, specifications, and proposed solutions.
- Conduct peer reviews and ensure feedback is addressed across code and documentation deliverables.
- Perform risk assessments, prepare quotes, and define functional and technical approaches for software changes.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve defects and issues with code fixes and unit testing within defined SLAs.
- Provide remote or on-site go-live, dry-run, testing, and deployment support across customer time zones.
- Coordinate and deliver product or solution demonstrations to clients.
- Provide technical guidance to assigned engineers and take ownership of end-to-end project delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant discipline; MCA and MSc in Computer Science are also listed as relevant qualifications.
- 5 to 7.5 years of total professional experience.
- Experience with Java, Ext JS, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Prior experience with Blue Yonder, JDA, RedPrairie WMS, or another WMS platform is advantageous.
- Experience with test management and test execution.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools such as SQL Developer and SQL Management Studio.
- Experience with source code control and development tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.
- Proficiency with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems and command-line usage.
- Working knowledge of Jira for issue and project tracking.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and AI tools such as Cursor AI, Replit AI, and GitHub Copilot for development, refactoring, and unit testing.
- Ability to evaluate competing solutions, make informed technical decisions, provide estimates, and offer technical guidance.
- Strong written, verbal, collaboration, ownership, and customer relationship skills.
