Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable large language model architectures for natural language processing and generation.
- Develop, customize, train, deploy, monitor, and optimize machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and language model solutions.
- Build scalable data pipelines and MLOps/LLMOps processes for model training and production.
- Work with large-scale datasets, data preprocessing, model storage, retrieval, evaluation, and production reliability.
- Conduct research and development involving AI, high-performance computing algorithms, models, and simulations.
- Integrate language models into broader systems and workflows in collaboration with cross-functional and client-side teams.
- Provide technical advisory input, make decisions across multiple teams, solve business-area problems, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of experience in Machine Learning.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent; 15 years of full-time education is required, with a related master's degree or PhD preferred.
- At least 7 years of experience as a machine learning engineer or scientist deploying models in production at scale, including monitoring, alerting, automatic bug filing, and auditing.
- At least 7 years of experience applying computer science foundations, computer system architecture, systems engineering, and programming.
- At least 5 years of experience with distributed computing systems and architectures, including areas such as big data, high-performance computing, scientific computing, grid computing, cloud computing, or distributed networks.
- At least 4 years of experience building and deploying AI/ML software in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Python and Python-based AI/ML frameworks, including familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with language model APIs and optimizing their use for specific applications.
- Experience with Python, C++, Java, R, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of neural network architectures, deep learning, large-scale data processing, natural language processing, and language model evaluation metrics.
- Strong client-facing, communication, advisory, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership skills.
