Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive over-the-air software updates to millions of customer terminals across multiple hardware variants.
  • Build systems that safely, reliably, and rapidly update terminals from factory deployment through long-term field operation.
  • Develop staged or progressive rollout strategies and automated release-safety mechanisms.
  • Build observability and anomaly-detection capabilities for device fleets.
  • Automate the software-delivery process and infrastructure supporting satellite ground-segment operations.
  • Work with firmware, satellite networking, operations, release teams, and principal engineers to define technical strategy and improve workflows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • 1+ year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee due to export-control requirements.
