Responsibilities
- Write primarily Kotlin code for core Android dataflow components.
- Improve app-cloud data synchronization, including reliability, latency, performance, and observability.
- Improve app-side data storage, data access API design, and data migration systems.
- Implement automation and code generation layers.
- Participate in system design, architecture, implementation, and platform improvement initiatives.
- Take ownership of projects, drive implementation, deliver results with limited guidance, and mentor other engineers.
- Support data management and related platform work, with potential contributions to backend APIs and iOS.
Requirements
- Experience with mobile development, ideally including proficient Kotlin programming and modern Android application architecture.
- Strong problem-solving ability and broad knowledge of software fundamentals, testing, concurrency, databases, and system design.
- Ability to design technical solutions, own projects, and deliver high-quality code with limited guidance.
- Ability to mentor engineers and improve developer productivity across teams.
- Strong spoken and written communication, teamwork, initiative, and motivation to learn.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, data synchronization, HTTP API design, JNI, C/C++, performance optimization, application profiling, or iOS is beneficial but not required.
