Responsibilities
- Shape the future of AI-powered scientific research by building backend systems and full-stack product experiences.
- Develop AI-native workflows for paper writing, literature review, and scientific knowledge exploration.
- Partner with researchers to understand workflows and identify opportunities for AI integration.
- Build tools for scientific data analysis and simulation to help researchers explore datasets and run experiments.
- Establish product and engineering foundations for fast-moving 0 → 1 efforts in Core Science.
Requirements
- Strong backend or full-stack engineering fundamentals with experience in production systems.
- Comfortable in ambiguous 0 → 1 environments with evolving customer needs and product direction.
- Excited about applying AI to real-world scientific problems and improving research tools.
- Experience in building scalable distributed systems or data-intensive applications.
- Deep care for product quality, iteration speed, and user impact, with a focus on scientific trustworthiness.
- Curiosity about scientific workflows and motivation to learn from domain experts.
- Clear communication skills across engineering, research, and product teams.
