Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain embedded software applications and device drivers.
  • Develop software for AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC and MicroBlaze embedded processor platforms.
  • Implement and debug UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, and other low-level peripheral interfaces.
  • Support hardware, FPGA, and system-level software integration, including board bring-up and system validation.
  • Perform software verification, debugging, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution on laboratory and target hardware.
  • Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and software verification procedures.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, FPGA, verification, and other engineering teams to meet technical, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, code reviews, configuration management, and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of professional experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python, including modern C++ development.
  • Experience developing embedded software in bare-metal systems, FreeRTOS, or embedded Linux environments.
  • Experience developing, integrating, and debugging low-level device drivers and UART, I2C, and SPI communication interfaces.
  • Familiarity with GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of embedded systems architecture, hardware/software integration, and software verification methodologies.
  • Experience supporting sensor-based and imaging-based embedded systems, including EO/IR cameras.
  • Preferred experience includes C#/.NET engineering or verification tools, board bring-up, hardware integration, system testing, laboratory test equipment, video processing, imaging systems, sensor interfaces, real-time embedded applications, AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC or MicroBlaze, AMD Vitis IDE, and regulated or mission-critical industries.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active Department of Defense security clearance or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable time after employment commencement is required.
