Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, modular UI systems, in-game HUDs, menus, and front-end features.
- Develop and own PC-specific UI/UX features including mouse-and-keyboard navigation, cursor behavior, key remapping, and settings menus.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs and player-experience issues.
- Collaborate with engineers, UI/UX designers, technical artists, technical designers, producers, and QA.
- Contribute to team morale, culture, and discussions about the overall game experience.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a games-industry engineer with UI/UX experience.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including collaboration with diverse teams and adaptation to changing project requirements.
- Familiarity with PC gaming and player expectations on that platform.
- Familiarity with UX best practices and passion for creating a strong player experience.
- Unreal Engine experience is a plus but is not required.
