Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain Java-based applications using the Java EE platform and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define specifications, and integrate software components.
  • Write clean, efficient, testable code and conduct unit and integration testing.
  • Optimize applications for high-volume, low-latency performance, speed, and scalability.
  • Debug applications, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot production problems, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Document technical designs and specifications and research and present new technologies and alternatives.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Java and in-depth understanding of Java/JEE internals, including classloading, memory management, and transaction management.
  • Hands-on experience with MVC frameworks and ORM technologies.
  • Experience with web services and API development.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
  • Familiarity with version control systems and build tools such as Ant.
  • Working experience with Fair Isaac’s Blaze Advisor rule engine is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
  • A baccalaureate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to datacenter engineering and operations, cloud engineering and operations, or complex IT infrastructure engineering; alternatively, a baccalaureate degree with eight years of related experience, or equivalent education and/or experience.
