Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and operate a high-scale, low-latency platform for real-time data ingestion and streaming.
- Build high-availability distributed systems and big-data pipelines using Flink.
- Process conversational data from voice, video, and email to support Sales Cloud AI agents.
- Create low-latency, large-scale data ingestion pipelines and real-time streaming architectures.
- Champion CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud provisioning, and engineering best practices.
- Manage and monitor mission-critical infrastructure, including logging, alerting, and reporting services.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across functions while maintaining technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- More than seven years of practical experience architecting, implementing, and managing durable distributed systems at scale for major enterprise cloud providers.
- Proven experience building high-availability, large-scale distributed architectures for client-facing environments.
- Hands-on experience building highly available big-data pipelines with Flink.
- Object-oriented programming proficiency with mastery of at least one of Java, Go, Python, C++, or Ruby.
- Extensive knowledge of public cloud frameworks such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and high-performance backend infrastructure.
- At least five years of experience with Java, Spring, microservices, distributed systems, and APIs is preferred.
- Preferred experience includes Kafka, Flink, Spark, Storm, Cassandra, Zookeeper, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Jenkins, Terraform, Spinnaker, Docker, Kubernetes, Helios, Fleet, or Mesos.
- Experience with low-latency data ingestion, enterprise AI-driven sales solutions, distributed real-time streaming systems, high-volume databases, and large-scale data pipelines is preferred.
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, leadership, attention to detail, and mentoring skills are required.

- The annual base salary range is $172,500–$260,100, or $207,800–$285,800 in select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan-area locations.
