
Flink Senior/Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and operate high-scale, low-latency platforms for real-time ingestion and streaming pipelines.
- Build and manage durable, distributed, highly available systems for client-facing enterprise environments.
- Develop big-data pipelines using Flink and support real-time conversational-data processing.
- Champion CI/CD, infrastructure automation, cloud provisioning, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and help uplift teams through automation and technical leadership.
- Monitor mission-critical infrastructure and support logging, alerting, and reporting services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of practical experience architecting, implementing, and managing durable distributed systems at scale.
- Experience building high-availability, large-scale distributed architectures and big-data pipelines with Flink.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and mastery of at least one of Java, Go, Python, C++, or Ruby.
- Extensive knowledge of public cloud frameworks such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and high-performance backend infrastructure.
- Preferred experience includes low-latency data ingestion, real-time streaming systems, Kafka, Flink, Spark, Storm, Cassandra, Zookeeper, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Java, Spring, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Preferred experience with Jenkins, Terraform, Spinnaker, Docker, Kubernetes, Helios, Fleet, or Mesos.
- At least 5 years of preferred experience with Java, Spring, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, leadership, attention to detail, and mentorship skills.
