Responsibilities
- Architect scalable, high-fidelity testing infrastructure and promote design for testability across the engineering stack.
- Define end-to-end verification and validation strategy and connect software verification evidence to system-level safety risks.
- Build compliance-as-code workflows that integrate risk controls into CI/CD and automate regulatory evidence generation.
- Mentor engineers and lead TDD, CI/CD, static analysis, automated quality gates, and quality-first engineering initiatives.
- Develop AI-augmented testing strategies, including predictive anomaly detection and AI-driven test generation.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Software Engineering, and leadership to scale software quality practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software test engineering experience architecting strategies for complex regulated systems, including embedded, real-time, or SaMD products.
- Deep working knowledge of IEC 62304 and ISO 14971, with experience designing compliance-as-code workflows.
- Advanced Python and C/C++ skills and extensive experience building test infrastructure for embedded hardware and cloud-side data pipelines.
- Experience mentoring software engineers and driving quality practices through TDD, static analysis, and automated quality gates.
- Strong experience with cybersecurity requirements such as IEC 81001-5-1 and FDA cybersecurity guidance, plus rigorous regulatory documentation.
- Preferred experience includes real-time Linux or RTOS products, MLOps, model-drift validation, dataset governance, automated performance evaluation, CMake, Bazel, Terraform, AWS, GCP, FDA Q-Sub or MHRA pre-submission processes, and hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop environments.
