Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable software solutions for data movement and replication.
- Investigate and resolve issues using debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and monitoring systems, and participate in root cause analysis.
- Design and implement product features and services in collaboration with engineers, architects, product managers, designers, and partners.
- Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests while improving coverage and supporting deployment practices.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure software meets quality, security, reliability, performance, and maintainability standards.
- Collaborate across teams to understand dependencies, integrations, system interactions, and platform architecture.
- Apply engineering best practices and contribute to continuous improvement and an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of professional experience with enterprise-level distributed systems.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
Benefits
- The typical base pay range is CAD $85,800–$169,300 per year across Canada.
- The position is open for at least five days, with applications accepted continuously until the role is filled.
- Employment requires passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
