Responsibilities
- Engineer and scale high-volume C++ systems delivering precision fixed income data.
- Own the architectural vision and technical roadmap for the newly formed team.
- Design and maintain high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems with strong correctness, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, data teams, and engineering teams in London and New York.
- Build onboarding and mentorship frameworks and help shape the team’s engineering culture.
- Take ownership of system health and performance throughout the software lifecycle.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and maintaining robust production systems.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Advanced technical mastery in C++, Java, or comparable object-oriented languages.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for automation and tooling.
- Expertise architecting high-throughput, low-latency systems.
- Deep understanding of distributed-systems consistency, failure modes, and observability.
- Strong analytical problem-solving, technical trade-off evaluation, design, code review, testing, and delivery skills.
- Track record of influencing technical direction and elevating the capabilities of other engineers.
