Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Jakarta Servlet, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs for communication between frontend and backend components.
- Participate in application modernization, including migration of legacy libraries and frameworks to supported versions.
- Implement secure coding practices and comply with enterprise and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot application issues and optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams on project deliverables.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant software development experience, with the posting describing a typical range of 5 to 8 years.
- Proficiency in Java, Jakarta EE Servlet API, Spring Framework, React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Spring Boot, Java Core, and Hibernate.
- Experience developing scalable enterprise applications and RESTful services.
- Expertise with React fundamentals, Hooks, state management, and component lifecycle.
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, frontend optimization, API integration, asynchronous data handling, and form validation.
- Familiarity with Jackson, Apache POI, Log4j2, Hibernate Validator, HikariCP, and file upload handling.
- Experience with version control systems, testing frameworks, modern development tools, secure coding, JWT-OAuth authentication, and application security standards.
- A university degree in Computer Science, Banking, or equivalent working experience is preferred; 15 years of full-time education is listed as an educational qualification.
- Financial-services or banking technology experience is an added advantage.
