Responsibilities
- Write, maintain, debug, and document Java code according to coding standards and architectural guidelines.
- Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
- Contribute to eCommerce features and integrations with external systems under guidance.
- Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams on technical implementation and software development lifecycle activities.
- Write JUnit test cases using Mockito or PowerMock and address product-quality issues.
- Troubleshoot complex or escalated incidents and provide solutions.
- Explore new technologies, contribute ideas, and communicate implementation approaches.
- Mentor less experienced team members and deliver assigned work to agreed standards.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Java and backend development.
- Graduation-level educational qualification.
- Strong Java development skills, including Java 11 or above, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot for backend services and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with at least one logging framework: SLF4J, Logback, or Log4j.
- Experience writing JUnit tests using Mockito or PowerMock.
- Knowledge of SOLID, DRY, exception handling, serialization/deserialization, immutability, Java collections, generics, annotations, multithreading, Java memory management, and garbage collection.
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases and SQL queries.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud technologies, SonarQube, code-management tools, and caching concepts.
- Strong communication, collaboration, learning, accountability, and mentoring abilities.
