Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex flight-control and avionics systems on integrated platforms.
- Develop systems and software requirements from equipment-level requirements.
- Create Simulink and Stateflow models using MATLAB.
- Identify and troubleshoot system-level issues arising from application testing, flight testing, and verification and validation.
- Support subsystem and system integration across diverse teams and global sites.
- Apply embedded development expertise and participate in technical reviews and process activities.
- Coordinate with customers and stakeholders during program execution.
- Support technical white papers, WIDS, patents, and intellectual property efforts.
- Drive technical actions to closure and contribute to innovation and market-focused product initiatives.
- Travel based on business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- 4 to 8 years of work experience with aerospace systems.
- Understanding of avionics products, processes, tools, methodologies, aircraft systems, and interfaces.
- Experience with flight-control system product architecture, design, development, architecture, and certification.
- Hands-on embedded development experience.
- Knowledge and practical use of DFTS and Test Interface Unit tools.
- Knowledge of ARP 4754A, DO-178B, ARP4761, CC/CQ, and Z21.
- Knowledge of Python and MATLAB.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, coordination, leadership, critical-thinking, and execution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across global sites.
