Responsibilities
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications or user stories.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend functionality and components.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party application integrations.
- Optimize backend systems, databases, data models, data structures, and algorithms for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend system issues.
- Implement security mechanisms for sensitive data protection and authentication.
- Document code and technical processes and participate in peer reviews and continuous improvement.
- Design, build, deploy, monitor, and maintain code in multi-service architectures.
- Coordinate or lead small projects or workstreams when assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of developing cloud-based applications.
- Experience with backend technologies and/or backend frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages used for backend development.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and related concepts.
- Proficiency in fundamental web technologies.
- Familiarity with multi-service architecture and the software delivery lifecycle.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and deploying code to production.
- Understanding of cloud fundamentals.
- Knowledge of database management, server-side frameworks, API development, server-side testing, CI/CD methods, and regression testing.
