Base Salary

$195k - $293k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical execution and direction for major autonomy capabilities across multiple engineering teams.
  • Develop, integrate, validate, and field autonomy software for launched-effect platforms, including autopilot integration, payload systems, executive autonomy, and multi-agent coordination.
  • Coordinate integration with autonomy, perception, feature, autopilot vendor, C2 provider, contractor, and customer partners.
  • Lead design reviews, architecture decisions, interface control documentation, and repeatable integration practices.
  • Drive mission readiness, release planning, hardware/software compatibility, and operational readiness for fleet-scale deployments.
  • Provide technical leadership during flight tests, customer demonstrations, range exercises, and operational deployments.
  • Perform root-cause analysis across autonomy software, payload computers, embedded systems, networking, and platform interfaces.
  • Analyze mission data, reproduce issues, coordinate corrective actions, and improve future releases.
  • Build tools, automation, and processes that improve deployment velocity, mission reliability, developer productivity, and integration efficiency.
  • Drive command-and-control interoperability and support compliance with open-systems standards.
  • Travel approximately 10–20% of the year to offices, customer sites, training events, flight tests, and integration exercises.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expert C++ and Linux development experience.
  • Experience leading complex autonomy or embedded software integration efforts.
  • Experience influencing technical direction across multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience supporting operational test events or customer deployments.
  • Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
  • Preferred experience with launched effects or distributed autonomous systems.
  • Preferred experience integrating PX4, ArduPilot, or custom autopilot solutions.
  • Preferred experience with fleet-scale autonomous operations and disconnected or air-gapped deployments.
  • Preferred experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
  • Preferred experience with UCI, OMS, MOSA, WOSA, or TAK/CoT.
