Responsibilities
- Deliver and improve enterprise CI/CD capabilities, processes, controls, and compliance reporting.
- Automate environment provisioning, configuration management, deployment workflows, and environment operations across complex technology stacks.
- Support cloud engineering and modernisation initiatives across public, private, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Act as a subject matter expert for software engineering toolsets, source code management, development practices, and SDLC process improvement.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, architecture, engineering, development, testing, release management, and supplier teams.
- Embed engineering, testing, release, design governance, and environment strategy best practices into software delivery.
- Present and contribute to architecture and design governance forums and support cross-functional delivery teams.
Requirements
- Senior cloud engineering experience in public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience delivering major programs of work and enterprise CI/CD capabilities in complex environments.
- Strong understanding of cloud engineering, multi-cloud environments, multitenancy, security implications, and cloud infrastructure automation.
- Experience with cloud deployment and orchestration at scale, including service discovery, deployment, monitoring, scheduling, and load balancing.
- Knowledge of containerisation, complex and semi-structured data, and end-to-end software design governance.
- Experience with Java 8 or later, CI/CD tools such as GoCD, GitLab, Cloud Build, or Code Build, and data APIs including REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
- Experience building or working with Docker container-based services or other container runtime environments.
- Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Architecture certification on AWS or GCP is desirable.
- Experience with cloud-native frameworks, regulated environments, compliance and audit activities, and cross-functional agile delivery is desirable.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
