Base Salary
$120k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable Java applications, REST APIs, and backend services.
- Develop messaging-platform capabilities supporting email, push notifications, SMS, and other communications.
- Design and implement RESTful services using Spring Boot for high-volume, highly available environments.
- Translate requirements into technical designs and test solutions through unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Improve platform reliability, automated testing, CI/CD processes, API test automation, and deployment pipelines.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate with technical leads, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and distributed teams.
- Create and maintain architecture, design, API, and environment documentation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 9+ years of professional software development experience building enterprise web applications, including full-stack Java development and mentoring junior developers.
- 5+ years of experience building REST services for high-volume, highly available environments.
- 6+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- 4+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Experience with Spring Boot, software design patterns, SOLID principles, CI/CD concepts, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, make sound decisions, manage competing priorities, and work in a distributed environment.
- Preferred experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Spring Batch, financial services or other regulated environments, and Agile teams.
- Ability to contribute across the technology stack, learn new capabilities, and maintain technical documentation.
