Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize backend services for the AI/ML analytics platform.
- Own architectural direction, technical documentation, standards, and end-to-end feature delivery for assigned components.
- Write and test production code and support deployment, troubleshooting, and reliability of applications.
- Review and guide vendor-developed code and help transition development toward in-house ownership.
- Build systems processing high-throughput, large-scale, time-critical, and time-series manufacturing telemetry.
- Collaborate with field, product, and central engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Support deployed applications in on-premises and air-gapped customer environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Go.
- Working proficiency with Python, PostgreSQL, gRPC, HTTPS, Kafka, Redis, Linux, Docker, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated ability to independently own features from design through testing and delivery.
- Experience reviewing and guiding other developers or vendors.
- Experience designing systems for performance and scale, especially high-volume, time-critical, and time-series data systems.
- Comfort working with on-premises and air-gapped deployments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams.
- AI/ML application development experience is strongly preferred but flexible for strong candidates.
- C# or C++ proficiency, semiconductor manufacturing exposure, and field-deployed or customer-facing software experience are preferred.
- Ability to comply with confidentiality, data security, and export-control requirements.
